Bake Shop Bremen
[A bakery in the shopping district loved by many locals]
Located in the shopping district of Yanagawa City, this bakery is loved by many locals. The taste of the bread that we have been familiar with since childhood is something that brings back memories even after leaving our hometown. It has long been a favorite with mothers who buy bean paste buns and cream buns to send to their daughters who have left Yanagawa, and students who make the effort to buy them when they return home. “My father started the shop 44 years ago. I’ve been baking bread with him for the past 13 years,” explained the son, who currently runs the shop with his father.
While the main menu items remain popular since the bakery opened, such as traditional white bread and melon bread, they are also enthusiastically introducing new items. One such item is the “piroshki bread.” When speaking with the bakery’s son, he learned that the idea was suggested by a female employee of the bakery. She was originally a regular customer who used to come to the bakery to buy bread. “One day while I was buying bread, I saw a notice advertising recruitment. It was a bakery I’ve always loved, so I applied and was hired. I’m happy to be able to work here,” she said, as she suggested reviving the “piroshki bread” that was on the menu a long time ago, and was hired.
Supported by the love of the people of Yanagawa, there was a wide variety of delicious-looking bread lined up in the store today as well.
