Hometown of Literature - A Map of the Monuments of Literature -

Yanagawa, the city of water, which is filled with poetical sentiment, has a lot of monuments of poems, lyrics and haiku poems written not only by a great poet Kitahara Hakushu and writers Dan Kazuo and Hase Ken all of whom are from Yanagawa but also by many other poets and writers who visited this city. One of the pleasures you can have in Yanagawa is to go and see those monuments, pondering over the times when those poets and writers lived.
